David Itterley
David Itterley is a proud member of the Quinault Indian Nation, where he spent much of his childhood immersed in the beauty and traditions of the Washington coastline. Deeply connected to his culture, he continues to participate in canoe journeys, weaving, beading, song, and dance—keeping those teachings alive for the next generation.
As an elementary school teacher in East Wenatchee, David is dedicated to creating meaningful connections between culture, community, and education. He is passionate about helping youth discover pride in who they are and where they come from.
Together with his wife and their seven children, David enjoys camping, hiking, and returning often to the coast, where he finds renewal and a sense of home. His work with the Indigenous Roots and Reparations Foundation reflects his belief in the power of community, cultural preservation, and shared healing.
